Remove The Five Second Redial Delay In Remote Access Today's tip is courtesy of phydeaux. If you get too impatient waiting for the Remote Access Control panel to redial a busy access number, this little edit sets the redial delay to practically zero!
In the System Preferences folder is a file called "Remote Access Connections".
Open ID 128.
In the third row, fourth column, is the location of the redial delay in HEX.
Change the number to 0010 hex. Save your work and quit ResEdit. the next time you get a busy signal, the Remote Access control panel will frantically try to repeatedly redial it!
